Stella A. Ervin, 65, passed away peacefully June 6, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, spent many years in Sicklerville, NJ, and was currently residing in Brookhaven, Pa. She was a graduate of John Bartrum High School, class of 1966. She loved to crochet and adored her dogs; Millie, Bandit, and Sasha. She was predeceased by her parents Dorothea and Everett Derrickson.
She is survived by her loving son James Tighe; siblings Wayne Derrickson (Lolly), Marian McKinley, Sandra Morris, and Dora Mae Warriner; former husband James Tighe Sr.
Funeral service Tuesday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Tuesday 10-11am at the funeral home. Interment Mt Hope Cemetery, Aston, Pa. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, Pa, 19103.
