Betty V. Franklin January 20, 1926 - July 20, 2017

Betty (Vandegrift) Franklin went to Heaven after a courageous battle, she was 91 ½ years young. Betty attended Ridley High School. She was predeceased by her husband of 24 years, Roy in 1975. Betty was the daughter of the late Margaret and Joseph Vandegrift. She was also predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Norman, Robert, Harry, and William.

Betty is survived by her loving and devoted sons Lee and Richard, as well as her youngest brother Edward of Benton, Pa, and several nieces and nephews.

She loved traveling, she and her sons traveled all over the United States as well as Europe. Betty worked for many years at Scallon and Lupton Florists, as well as The Chester Dental Lab. She loved shopping, arts and crafts, and Holiday gatherings. Betty enjoyed cooking, especially goodies.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service Wednesday 12 noon at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Visitation Wednesday 10-12 at the funeral home. Burial Old Union Methodist Cemetery, Wallingford, PA.
