Harry L. Kirby September 18, 1924 - November 12, 2006

Harry L. Kirby, 82, passed away at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pa. He was a lifelong resident of Upland, Pa. He was employed by Crazer Chester Medical Center in the maintenance department where he retired in 1989. He was a member of the American Legion 926, Aston, Pa., VFW Post 6613 in Lenni, Pa, lifetime member of Upland Fire Company, Upland Senior Citizens, Lenni AC and Upland AC. He was a veteran of the US Army in which he served during WWII. He was the husband of the late Olive Dimples Dirby and son of the late Sara and Joe Doonan. He was the brother to the late William Kirby, Eleanor Kirby, Verna Crowley, and Jane Zehner. He was survived by his wife Grace O’Connor of Glen Mills, pa. He was the father of H. Joe (Shirley)Kirby of Fredricksburg, VA, Sara (Donald) Melhado of Oxford, Pa, Melinda (Bryan) Jackson-Bowers Beach, DE.. He was the brother of Mildred Chappell of New York, Pa. He was the grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 2. Funeral service will be held 10 am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Concordville, Pa. Friends may call Thursday 7 pm to 9 pm and also Friday 9 am to 10 am at the funeral home. Donaton to charity of your choice.
