Bert Poole November 7, 1930 - December 7, 2010

Bert Poole, 80, passed away December 7, 2010 at his home.

He was born and raised in Chester, Pa, but has resided in Aston, Pa, for the past 56 years. He graduated from Chester High School.

He worked for Westinghouse as a fabricator for 35 years.

He was an avid table tennis player and won many state championships for it. He is in the Aston Sports Hall of Fame for his umpiring and was in the Delaware County Hall of Fame for table tennis. He also belonged to the Rocky run YMCA. Many people also know him for his amazing talent as a singer.

He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army.

He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor T. Poole, who passed away earlier this year.

He is survived by his children, Bert Poole of Goldsborough, NC, and Dianne M. Poole of Deale, Md; his grandchildren Jennifer and Eric.

Funeral service will be held Friday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.

Visitation Friday 10-11am at the funeral home.

Interment Mt. Hope, Aston, Pa.
