Catherine Medvid January 21, 1917 - March 13, 2012

Catherine Medvid, 95, passed away March 13, 2012 at Taylor Hospice, Ridley Park, Pa. Born in Mahoney City, Pa, she was a long time resident of Brookhaven, Pa. She worked for Ship and Shore. She was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and really enjoyed going hunting. However, she loved nothing more than being with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen Medvid; her daughter Anne Marie Medvid; her siblings Joe Wassel, Anthony Tolundis, and Florence Yakabosky. She is survived by her son Stephen (Suzanne) Medvid of Garnet Valley; her grandchildren Stephen Medvid, Cindy (Mark) Romanick, Elaine (Kevin) Rutz, Caitlin and Austin Medvid; her great grandchildren Jocelyn and Stephen Medvid, Alison and Melissa Romanick, Gregory, Thomas, Michael, and Jack Rutz. Funeral service Saturday 10:30am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Saturday 9:30-10:30am at the church.
