Lucille C. Whelan June 29, 1923 - March 4, 2012

Lucille C. Whelan (nee Cannon), 88, passed away March 4, 2012 at her home in Aston, Pa. She was born in Chester, raised in Linwood, Pa, and has been a resident of Aston, Pa, for the past 40 years. She was a graduate of Ridley Park High School, class of 1941. She worked as an executive secretary at Chester Housing Authority from 1957-1968. She was also a medical secretary for Dr. Gifford Crothers and Dr. Kenneth Crothers. She was interested in politics, current events, and dancing. She was also a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Aston, Pa. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Whelan; her parents Edna and John Cannon; brothers John and Wayne Cannon; sister Elaine Curney. She is survived by her daughter Linda (late Jack) Bresset of Aston, Pa; her granddaughter Lisa (Jeff) Wood Giuliani of N. Carolina; 2 great grandsons; many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
