Alan F. Jones July 28, 1943 - March 16, 2013

Alan F. Jones, 69, passed away March 16, 2013 at his home. Born in Glenolden, Pa, he was a previous resident of Elkton, Md and lived the last 22 years in Brookhaven, Pa. He was a graduate of Interboro High School, class of 1962. He was a Jet engine mechanic for the Air Force, worked for Phoenix Steel, managed D & C Sporting Goods Store in Chesapeake City, MD, worked at Pathmark in Newark, De, and most recently did grounds work at Our Lady of Charity Church, Brookhaven, Pa. He was an Airman First Class for the United States Air Force. He was an avid fisherman and had a real interest in photography. He loved to travel and really enjoyed his trips overseas and to the Outer Banks. Above all else he loved his family and adored his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents Mildred and Clarence Jones and his siblings Clarence, William, Mildred, and Jean.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Johanna (nee Pitzorella); children Brian A. Jones and Kristin E. (Michael) Suda; sister Agnes Mullikin; grandchildren Nicholas, Angela, and Owen Jones and Natalie and Emily Suda.

Funeral mass 11am Firday at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, De, 19810. Visitation Friday 10-11am at the church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123-1718.
