George Harrington, 84,
passed away May 20, 2009 at Sterling Nursing Home, Media, Pa.
Born in West Chester, Pa,
he has been a resident of Brookhaven, Pa, for the past 39 years. Previously he resided in Newtown Heights, Pa. He graduated from the Media High School.
He owned his own landscaping business until he retired. He then helped out with different antique auction businesses. He was a member of Faith Community Church, Brookhaven, Pa. He loved his grandchildren, going to his cottage in Maryland, crabbing and fishing in the Elk River, and doing yard work. He was the beloved husband of Alice Harrington for the past 39 years.
He was the loving stepfather of Gary Albright, Honeyoye Falls, NY,
and Nancy Albright Vogel, Brookhaven, Pa. He was the brother of Charles Harrington of Harrington, De, the late Richard Harrington, and Lois Simcox, Media, Pa. He was the grandfather of Amy, Andrew, Sarah, Jessica, and David. Funeral service will be held Friday 2pm at Faith Community Church, 3515 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.
