Richard H. Winfree (Dick), 80, passed away suddenly on December 4, 2016, at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa. Born and raised in Chester, Pa, Richard has been a resident of Brookhaven for the last 53 years. He graduated from Chester High School. He was an Abbotts Milk Man, worked for Paisecki Air and as a Claims Agent for United Airlines.  Richard was later a manager at the Bridgewater Inn, also working for Delco Beverage, and Communication Test Design. He has been retired since 2000. Richard was an avid Eagles fan and a proud grandfather to his 5 granddaughters and great grandson. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was predeceased by his parents Marjorie F. and Fairthorne “Fine” L. Winfree and his brother Edward L. Winfree.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Agnes M. (nee Mingis) Winfree; his children Richard E. Winfree and Dawn M. McClain (William); his sister Carolyn Christy; his 5 granddaughters Rebecca M. and Allison L. McClain, Deborah J., Maranda M, and Samantha L. Winfree; and great grandson Brandon E. Nelson.

Funeral service Saturday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Saturday 9-11am at the funeral home. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA. Online condolences can be sent via www.batemanallenfuneralhome.com
