Ann McGlinn Segich

Ann McGlinn Segich, 84, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2021 in Ocean City, NJ. Born in Chester and a graduate of Eddystone High, she has been a long-time resident of Parkside. Ann was an extremely active member of Our Lady of Charity Church, where she sang in the choir and was the cheerleading coach. She was also very active in the Boy’s Club of Parkside. She was a devoted mother and daughter who lovingly took care of her parents while raising her 7 children. Ann was a wonderful cook, who happily shared with the whole neighborhood. She was a naturally talented artist who loved to crochet and play the organ. She had many talents and was very mechanically inclined. She loved to play scrabble, was the queen of spelling, and loved to read. She was also everyone’s taxi throughout the years. Above all else, she loved being surrounded in family and will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Her greatest title in life was “Mom”.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years Lester Segich, Sr. who passed away in 2004; her parents Marquerite and Hugh McGinn; and 7 siblings.

She is survived by her 7 children Lester, Jr. (Deborah), Joseph (Kathy), Timothy (Pamela), Kevin (Marianne), Dennis (Vicki), Joanne Segich, and Kathleen Segich-Ieradi (Robert).

She was the grandmother of Michelle, Alyssa, Andrew, Joe Jr., Maggie, Andrea, Brittany, Timmy Jr., Cassidy, Dr. Kaitlyn Ieradi DVM, Roberto Ieradi, Jr., Arianna, Brooke, MacKenzee, Kodi, and Kori; and her 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass Friday 11:45am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Visitation Friday 9:30-11:30am at the church. Burial Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA.
