Anthony A. “Shank” Morroni Sr.
Anthony A. Morroni “Shank”, 88, passed away December 20, 2011 at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa, 19015. Born in Chester, Pa, he has been a resident of Brookhaven, Pa, for the last 48 years. Prior to moving to Brookhaven he lived in Eyre Park, Chester, Pa. He attended Franklin Grammar School. He owned Morroni and Cresta Auto Body Shop in Chester, Pa, for 50+ years. He belonged to Knights of Columbus, Sons of Italy, the West End Boat Club, previous member of St. Anthonys Parish and active member of Immaculate Conception of Lourdes, Marcus Hook, Pa. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, loved fishing and dancing. He was very artistic and crafty. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents Angelina and Augustus Morroni and his siblings Danny, Philip, Rose, Mary, and Johnny. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Morroni (nee Lewis); his son Anthony Jr. (Cathy); daughters Kathleen (Paul) Hagan and Charlene Pugh; 11 grandchildren Lynn, Anthony, Marc, Catrina, Ronnie, Lauren, Jennifer, Robert, Paul, Nicole, and Matt; 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service Friday 10:30am Immaculate Conception of Lourdes, 21 West 8th St., Marcus Hook, Pa, 19061. Visitation Friday 9-10:30am at the church.
