Arturo Magnanti, age 74, died March 28, 2005 at home. He was a resident of Brookhaven, PA, for the past forty years and formerly lived in Chester, PA. He was a self employed tailor and also worked for the Wilson Company in Woodlyn, PA as a tailor. He was a member of Our Lady of Charity in Brookhaven, PA, and The Abruzzi Club. He was an avid bowler with the Swinging Seniors Bowling League at Conchester Lanes, enjoyed playing poker in Atlantic City, but, loved nothing more then his 5 grandchildren. He was survived by his wife, Lilla (Zizzi) Magnanti, of 43 years. He was the father of Josephine Szostek of Brookhaven, PA, Inez Haley of Boothwyn, PA, Angela Magnanti of Brookhaven, and Laura Magnanti of Brookhaven, PA. He was the brother of Tina Trasatti of Parkside, PA, Tony Magnanti and Amelia D’Alonzo of Italy, and Nelia Ford of England. He was also a loving grandfather of five. Service will be held Friday 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Interment S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
