Barbara Ann Taylor October 24, 1931 - April 26, 2023

Barbara Ann (Flint) Taylor, 91, of Aston, a former ARCO Chemical Co. employee and devoted grandmother, died peacefully in her sleep April 26 at home.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Ms. Taylor also resided in Lansdowne, Swarthmore, Ridley Park and Glen Mills before moving to Aston.

Ms. Taylor was employed by Atlantic Richfield Co. in Philadelphia from 1962 to 1985; Atlantic Refining and Marketing Co. in King of Prussia from 1985 to 1987; and ARCO Chemical Co. in Newtown Square from 1987 to 1997. She began as a secretary and her other roles included human resources representative, employee relations generalist and project employee/consultant. After her retirement, she worked at the courtesy desk at Boscov’s in the Granite Run Mall into her mid-eighties.

She was a graduate of West Catholic High School in Philadelphia. She also took courses from Cornell University’s Affirmative Action Series and the Center for Creative Leadership.

Ms. Taylor’s greatest joys were spending time with her son, grandson and granddaughter, always saying she had “a small but wonderful family.” She also enjoyed keeping in touch with her extended family and having lunches with friends from ARCO and Boscov’s. Her spiritual journey included regularly studying and reading from works such as “A Course in Miracles” and “The Science of Mind.”

She was the daughter of the late Thomas Clement Flint and Marie Cecelia Grant and wife of the late Elwood Adams Taylor, who died in 2004. She is survived by her son, Adam Taylor of Aston; her grandson, Jalen Taylor of East Brunswick, N.J.; her granddaughter, Eve Taylor of Philadelphia; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Taylor.

There are no immediate plans for a memorial service.
