Beverly E. Murphy

Beverly “Bev” Murphy, 78, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Chester, PA, she was a long-time resident of Parkside and, most recently, Boothwyn. Bev was a graduate of Chester High School and went on to work as the head teller at PNC Bank on State Street in Media.

Bev loved to play bingo and, as a younger woman, enjoyed bowling, roller skating, and hunting with her husband.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years Daniel Murphy; her parents Harry and Stella Vernon; her siblings Steven Vernon, Robert Vernon, and Deborah Vernon.

She is survived by her loving daughter Denise Barr; her brother and sister-in-law William and Nancy Murphy; and her 3 grandchildren Daniel Philip Barr, David Isaac Peirson, and Rocco Michael Talarico; her great grandson Kaycen Clarke; and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
