David W. Huntington, age 67, of Brookhaven, formally of Havertown, bravely fought his cancer, but he lost his battle and peacefully went home to the Lord on March 17, 2023.
He graduated from Haverford High School and was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Havertown.
David enjoyed Christmas and collected snowmen, bears, and gnomes. He also was a car enthusiast and frequented classic car shows, was a member of several car clubs, and every year he and his wife, made a pilgrimage to Philadelphia for the Annual Car Show. He would talk to the Subaru folks for hours about the new innovations and how the older cars worked.
David was a big fan of Philly sports with the Eagles and Phillies being his favorite teams. All who knew sports would seek him out and ask for his opinion on different teams. He also had a large collection of baseball caps with some football teams included. Each major Philly victory has a cap associated with it and he had them all. He was ecstatic when his teams got to the Super Bowl and World Series.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Pauline “Polly” Huntington.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years Alice C. Huntington and his church family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1141 West Chester Pike on May 13. Visitation begins at 9am; service is 10:30am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David’s name may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1141 West Chester Pike, Havertown, PA 19083
