Eleanor Monroe

Eleanor Monroe, age 90, a longtime resident of Brookhaven, passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2022.

She was born in upstate PA before moving to Delaware County and graduating from Eddystone Highschool.

She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, gardening, and was an amazing homemaker.

Eleanor is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Monroe, Sr. and her parents, Lutz and Anna Yaglinski.

She is survived by her children: Anna Nelson, Joseph Monroe, Jr., Susan Marsh, William Monroe, and Elaine Monroe; sister, Barbara Myers and brother, Robert Yaglinski. Also 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, 19015, with a visitation from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m., followed by her funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
