Elizabeth “Betsy” Goldsborough October 10, 1949 - May 19, 2012

Elizabeth “Betsy” Goldsborough [nee Carroll], age 62, went home with her Lord on May 19th, 2012, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Brookhaven, PA where she raised her family with her husband, Dennis, of 41 years. Betsy proudly attended both West Chester University and Villanova University, and retired from DELCORA after over 20 years of service. Betsy loved spending time with her family and friends vacationing together, especially at the beach. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, and quilting and has left a tangible legacy with the keepsakes she tenderly made for her loved ones. Betsy touched many lives through her devotion to the Pioneer Girl program at Faith Community Church, as well as her involvement with Delaware County Young Life. Her love for the Lord was evident in all she did. Betsy is survived by her devoted husband Dennis, four beloved children: Amy Steinmetz [Mark] of Lincoln University, PA; Megan Plousis [Jim] of Malvern, PA; Jill McLaughlin [Brian] of Media, PA; Michael [Kim] of Farragut, TN, her ten grandchildren, Evan, Abby, Ryan, Chris, Nathan, Ava, Alex, Logan, Ellie, and Ethan, and her brother, Robert Carroll, of Rockledge, PA. She was predeceased in this life by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Carroll, and her grandson, Aidan McLaughlin. Friends and family are invited to family visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., with a service to celebrate and honor Betsy’s life to follow at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23rd at the Blue Route Vineyard Church 425 W. Front St., Media, PA, 19063. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Young Life, PO Box 1650, Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.
