Emily G. Carroll
Emily G. Carroll, 86, passed away May 13, 2009 at her home.
Born in Portland, Maine, she has been a resident of Brookhaven, Pa, since 1952. Prior to living in Brookhaven she resided in Chester, Pa. She graduated from the Immaculate Heart School.
She worked for the Silver’s 5 and 10 in Chester, Pa, Sun Ship Welder Department, and also at the Sears in Granite Run Mall in Media, Pa. She was a volunteer at Our Lady of Charity Church, Brookhaven, Pa, for all functions when it was first established, she co-chaired at the Wesley Connections Thrift Shop in Chester, Pa, for 5 years, and also volunteered for the March of Dimes. She was an excellent and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was the devoted wife of Clayton A. Carroll Jr. of Brookhaven, Pa, for the past 66 years.
She was the daughter of the late Leo and Alice Doyle.
She was the loving mother of Clayton A. (Connie) Carroll III, Michael (June) Carroll, Jeffrey (Frances) Carroll, Genevieve (late Carlton) George, and Nancy (Joseph) McQuiston. She was the sister of Ethel Fraim, Grace Archacki, and Dee Malin. She was the Grandmother of 12 and the
Great grandmother of 12.
Funeral service will be held Monday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.
Friends may call Monday 10-11am at the funeral home.
Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Pa.
