It is with great sadness that we write to inform you that Florence (Flossie) Paterson, age 92, a longtime resident of Brookhaven, passed away on Saturday evening June 29, 2024 with her loving family by her side.
Florence was born on November 19, 1931 in Chester PA to the late Frank and Victoria Kulas Pochopien. She attended St Hedwigs school, and after her marriage to William A, Paterson, she moved to Brookhaven, PA, where she raised her four children.
Flossie was a hairdresser her entire life, and was also a fabulous cook and baker, which is something she really enjoyed.
She was a beautiful human being inside and out, was adored by her family, and was always there for them.
Florence is predeceased by her husband, William A. Paterson.
She is survived by her four children, Diane West (John), Debby Hamby (George), William D. Paterson, MD (Jeannine) and Nanette Vanhorn (Dave). She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, special cousins, Barbara Hepler and Joannie McCarty and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Monday, July 8th, 2024, from 9:30–11 AM at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Avenue, Brookhaven, PA 19015, followed by her funeral service at 11 AM.
Burial will take place at Mount Hope cemetery.
