Franklin Louis Thurber
Franklin Louis Thurber, 66, passed away April 11, 2006 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media, Pa. Previously from Upper Darby, Pa he resided in Brookhaven, Pa for the past 18 years. He was a 1958 graduate of Upper Darby High School. He then proceeded to become the bakery supervisor of Acme Markets warehouse. He was an active member and greeter at Our Lady of Charity Roman Catholic Church. He was also involved with the Big Brothers Association for 10 years and was named Big Brother of the year in 1973. He was also a member of Cencle Prayer Group, Parish Laison for Disabilities, and was an avid bowler. He was a member of the Naval Reserve in Philadelphia, Pa. He was survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Beverly (Ritchie) Thurber of Brookhaven, Pa. Father of Franklin A. (Peggy) of Allentown, Pa, Maureen (Bob) Inverso of Boothwyn, Pa, and Kathleen Boyer of Dover, DE. He was the brother of the late Stephen Thurber. Devoted grandfather of 6. Funeral service will be held Monday 11AM at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 1915. Friends may call Monday 9:30-11:00 am at the church.
