Grace J. Donaphon September 19, 1924 - August 2, 2011

Grace J. Donaphon (nee Hill), 86, passed away August 2, 2011 at the Court House Convalescent Home, Cape May, NJ. Born in Linwood, Pa, to the late Sarah and Albert Hill she was raised in Chester, Pa, and lived in Brookhaven, Pa, for 30 years. She spent the last 20 years in Cape May, NJ, and Stuart, FL. She was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1942. She enjoyed every part of homemaking. She loved being with her family and was an extremely loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was a member of Brookhaven Baptist Church where she served on the board of Deacons, belonged to Parkside Fire Company Ladies Auxilliary, and was active in the Chester Suburban Little League. She was predeceased by her siblings Frances Gatewood and Albert “Cappy” Hill. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years John R. Donaphon; her children John R. (Jean) Donaphon of Upper Providence, Pa, and Rodger (Jonelle) Donaphon of Memphis, TN; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service Monday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Monday 10-11am at the funeral home.
