Gregory W. Greenday September 8, 1948 - April 17, 2010

Gregory W. Greenday, 61, passed away April 17, 2010 at his home.

Born in Chester, Pa, he has been a lifelong resident of Brookhaven, Pa. He was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1966. He was a long time reporter and Sports Editor for the Daily Times and recently the sports editor for the West Chester Daily Local.

He loved playing golf. He helped establish the Chester County Hall of Fame and volunteered for the Sunshine Foundation. He will be greatly missed by his tight knit group of friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Anne and William Greenday and his siblings, Michael and Barbara Greenday.

He was the loving father of William P. Greenday of Brookhaven, Pa, and Barbara A. Wassel of Parkside, Pa.

He was the brother of Donna Zappacosta of Springfield, Pa.

He was the proud grandfather of Christopher, Justin, and Ashley Wassel. Funeral service will be held Thursday morning 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.

Visitation Wednesday evening 7-9pm and also Thursday 9:30-11am at the funeral home.

Interment SS Peter and Paul, Springfield, Pa.
