Hannah “Luna” Deborah XiaoShan Davis, 25, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 26, 2024.
Luna was born in Guangzhou, China before being adopted at the age of 2 by her parents, Gary and Deborah Davis. After graduating from high school, she went on to study Women’s and Gender Studies at West Chester University.
After graduating college, Luna held a role as an adoption coordinator. She took great pride in meeting kids where they were in the foster system and doing all she could to place them in loving homes.
Luna was a passionate, creative, and gifted artist. She had a unique eye for seeing the beauty in people, plants, and the world around her. With a deep connection to nature, she was known to surround herself with butterflies, moons, plants, and other reminders of the emergent possibilities within us all. She shared that passion and light with everyone she encountered, whether through a flash of her bright smile, a thoughtful question or written word, the stroke of a paintbrush, or a fabulous makeup look. She believed in being your truest self and modeled that journey and the bravery it requires for us all.
Luna was predeceased by her father Gary Davis, Grandparents David and Sylvia Bean and Arlene and Wayne Davis, and Cousin Andre Veatch. She is survived by her mother, Deborah Davis-Gayley (Bruce Gayley), brothers Matthew Davis and Joshua Davis (Stephanie Davis and Brielle Davis), sister Alisha Davis (Andrew Krotowski), step sister Sandra Garrity (Timothy Garrity), nephews Mason and Ollie Davis, niece Bailey Davis, many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, her beloved cat Ava, and a host of other family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend her memorial visitation on Thursday, September 5th, from 5 :15-7:15pm at Brandywine Grace Church, 40 West Pennsylvania Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. A celebration of life service will take place immediately following the visitation starting at 7:15pm.

September 3, 2024 at 10:49 pmThere are no words. We are all so heartbroken to learn of Hannah’s passing. We loved Hannah and always enjoyed the time spent together. I remember the first time meeting her at DC upper campus as she was running around with so much energy all smiles and talking about taking RonnieMarie to her Dad’s office to get candy. We are praying that you will find comfort and strength in God as he carries you through this most difficult time.
