James Della Polla, 77,

passed away November 19, 2008 at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa, surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Brookhaven, Pa, for the past 45 years and prior to that lived in Southwest Philadelphia. He graduated from John Bartrum High School, Philadelphia. He worked for Penn Dot for 18 years in the maintenance department and also at

Vincent’s Café Family Business of Southwest Philadelphia. He belonged to Our Lady of Charity Church, Brookhaven, Pa.

He was the loving husband of Phyllis Della Polla of Brookhaven, Pa, for 48 years.

He was the devoted father of Marianne (Brian) Imburgia of West Chester, Pa, Rose (Dave) Allvord of Aston, Pa, Lisa (John) Stokarski of Aston, Pa, Elaine (Mitch) Wolf of Brookhaven, Pa. He was predecased by his sibilings, the late Tony Della Polla and the late Angie Cipriano. He was survived by his sister, Vi Ragone of Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. He was the proud grandfather of 6. Funeral service 10:30am Monday at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.
