James G. Markert, 80, passed away peacefully at Riddle Memorial Hospital on November 3, 2024. He spent most of his life living in Brookhaven, PA. He spent most of his career painting with his uncles and retired as a machinist. He enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, playing wii with his great niece and great nephews, watching game shows and old westerners, going to car shows, and keeping an extremely clean house. He was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
James was predeceased by his beloved wife of 40 years, Katharine Markert, who passed away in 2015 and his parents H. Albert Markert and Ardell Massimo.
He is survived by his loving son Timothy Markert; great nephews Delvy Moore and Xavier Moore; and his great niece Harda Moore.
Funeral service Saturday 10:30am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015 with a visitation starting at 9:30am. Burial Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA. Online condolences can be sent via www.batemanallenfuneralhome.com
