Jean M. Lohin, 94, passed away peacefully March 1, 2023, at Glen Mills Senior Living to join her beloved husband, George and her son, Georgie in heaven. Jean was a resident of Brookhaven, PA, for 60 years before moving to Glen Mills. She was a devoted wife of 48 years, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to travel, and always loved following the Phillies and attending many of the games over the years with her son, daughter, and sister. One of her favorite past times was feeding the birds. She loved sitting on her porch to watch them.
Born August 20, 1928, in Minersville, PA (Jonestown). She was a member of the American Legion in Aston and a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lottie Smith; her husband George; her son Georgie; and her sister Mary Lightcap.
Jean is survived by her daughter Lynn Crowell (Kevin); her granddaughter Christy Mulvanity (Court); many loved nieces and nephews; and all her angels at Glen Mills Senior Living.
Her family would like to thank the loving and caring staff and Glen Mills and Compassus Hospice who took such good care of her.
Funeral services; Wednesday 12 noon at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Viewing; 11am-12pm at the funeral home. Interment; Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 301 East 9th St., Chester, PA, 19013 and/or an animal shelter of your choice.
