Jeanette M. Vandegrift
1926-2015, on August 24, 2015 past on to be at peace after a long courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. Born April 28, 1926. Jeanette lived with her daughter and son-in-law for the past several years in Aston. She was a prior resident in Middletown Twp. and Brookhaven. She retired from Riddle Memorial Hospital Business office in 1990. She was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1982, her parents Rooney Collins Potymak, father Roy Collins and stepfather Paul Potymak, Brothers Roy, Donnie, Ed and Jimmy, several sister and brothers in law and nephew. She is survived by her loving daughter Ginger Kelly and more than a son-in-law Jack Kelly. Her grandson Ken and wife Catherine, Grandson Kevin and wife Patricia. Great grand daughters Erin, Riley, Quinn and great grandson Porter and Chase. Her grand children and great grand children were her life. Also survived by sister-in-law Betty Franklin and brother-in-law Ed Vandegrift and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her dearest friend Shirley McFadden. Jeanette enjoyed arts and crafts, shopping, dancing, and roller skating when she was younger and most of all attending all activities that her grandchildren were part of. Funeral service will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 3255 Concord Rd. Aston, Pa. 19014. Interment S.S.Peter and Paul Cemetery Springfield, Pa. Friend may call Monday 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Donation to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors would be appreciated.
