John B. Wible
John B. Wible, 96, passed away June 7, 2016 at Granite Farms Estates, Middletown, Twp., Pa. Born in Chester, Pa, he has been a long-time resident of Middletown Twp., Pa.
John was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in WWII and was stationed in England. He retired from the Delaware County Daily Times where he was a Circulation Supervisor for a number of years.
He always treasured his Hawaiian, European, and Caribbean travels with Mim, as well as summer vacations with his entire family in Ocean City, NJ. In addition to being a talented trumpet player, John enjoyed sports, hobbies, and working on projects around the house. He was also a voracious reader.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 77 years Miriam Wible; his son Curtis W. Wible (Barbara); grandchildren Brian Wible (Nina), Ian Varrassi (Katie), and Eric Varrassi (Tina); his great-grandsons Adam and Luke Wible and Caden and Vincent Varrassi. His siblings, Doris Winkelman (Bill) and Elizabeth Meyers (Garwood). His loving and caring extended family, Carol Varrassi (Tony) and Linda Davis. He is predeceased by his son Barry Wible who passed away in 1978; and his siblings Robert and Wesley Wible and Edith Shockley.
