John H. Speakman, 68, passed away at his home on August 31, 2011. Born in Chester, Pa, he has been a resident of Aston, Pa, for the last 41 years. He was a meat cutter for Medford Meats for 25 years before he retired. He was a veteran of the US Coastguard. He was predeceased by his parents Elsie and Norwood and his grandson Dennis Speakman Jr. He has been the loving husband of Nancy Speakman for 44 years. He is the father of Dennis (Beverly) Speakman of Chichester, Pa, Debbie Tyler of Md, and Darlene (Howard) Lofland of Aston, Pa. He is the brother of William Speakman of DE and Grace Scott of Dayton, OH. He is the proud grandfather of 7 and is also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral service Saturday 1pm at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Saturday 11am-1pm at the funeral home. Burial private.
