John J. Stokarski Sr.
John J. Stokarski Sr., 65,
passed away October 2, 2009 at his home. Born and raised in Chester, Pa, he was a current resident of Aston, Pa, since 1972. He graduated from Chester High School. He was a pipe designer for Jacobs Engineering, Mt. Laurel, NJ. He also worked for United Engineers and Day and Zimmerman, both out of Philadelphia. He was an avid fisher, loved cruising, a real handyman but most of all he was an extremely devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to spoil his grandchildren. He was also a member of St. Josephs Church, Aston, Pa. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was the son of the late John and Lillian Stokarski.
He was the husband of the loving Maureen Stokarski (nee Fuller) of Aston, Pa. He was the devoted father of John (Lisa) Stokarski Jr. of Aston, Pa, and Craig D. (Jeneene) Stokarski of Garnet Valley, Pa, and Beth A. (Kieth) McClure of Aston, Pa. He was the brother of the late Florence Moretti.
He was the grandfather of Emily, Maura, David, Seth, and Lydia Stokarski and Ryan McClure.
Funeral Service 11:30am Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, Pa, 19014
Visitation Wednesday evening 7-9 at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave, Brookhaven, Pa, 19015 and also Thursday morning 10-11 at the funeral home.
Interment Private.
