Joseph Hobaugh, 96, passed away peacefully at his home. Born in Chester, PA, he was a life long resident of Brookhaven before moving to Media in 2000. He was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1939 and the Navy sent him to Electronics School in Kentucky. He worked for Sunship for a short time and then went on to work for PECO throughout his career as a Boiler Operator. He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy. Joe was an active member of Our Lady of Charity Church and he also volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Aston. He was a kind man who was liked by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Hobaugh.
He is survived by his daughter Nancy Lewis; his sister Anna Mae Armstrong; 1 grandson; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral mass Wednesday 1pm at our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Visitation Wednesday 12-1pm at the church. Burial private.
