Joseph James Lynch, 74, passed away December 5, 2013. Born September 17, 1939 in Exeter, Pa, he was a current resident of Delaware County. He was a graduate of St. James High School and worked for Sun Ship and Phoenix Steel. He was predeceased by his parents Helen and Joseph Lynch.
He was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He also enjoyed duck carving, painting, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife Marie (nee Ervin) Lynch; his children Joseph Clark and Susan Ottavanti (Anthony); step daughter Carolynne Kelly(Daniel); brothers David and Kenny Lynch; sisters Barbara and Linda Lynch; 8 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass Monday 11:00 am Notre Dame de Lourdes, 990 Fairview Rd., Swarthmore, Pa, 19081. Visitation Monday 9:30-10:30 am at the church. Internment Chester Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heartland Hospice, 5 Christy Dr., Suite 103, Chadds Ford, Pa, 19317. Arrangements by Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, Brookhaven, Pa.
