Joseph “Joe Jinx” Nardello of Aldan, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 26th, 2012. He was 54 years old. He attended Archmere Academy and then graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1976. He raised his children in Newtown Square and has lived in Collingdale since 1997. He is the son of the late Joseph “Jinx” Nardello and Frances “Chickie” Falcone of Philadelphia.
As former owner of Joe’s Farm Market he provided fine Italian foods and service. Most recently he worked at the Philadelphia Airport for US Airways where he enjoyed this social environment and the new friends he made. Joe was incredibly generous, had a positive spirit and was filled with unconditional hopefulness. He was a dreamer who was never afraid to take risks. He enjoyed listening and singing to music, spending time at the casinos and always took pride in the cars he drove.
Most of all, Joe was a loving father and fun-spirited grandfather. He encouraged his children to live the best life they could and took pride in their accomplishments. They were his best friends. He is survived by his brother Pasquale (Pat) Nardello, two daughters, Dana Marie Tucker and Gina Lynn Callahan, his son Joseph Matthew Nardello, and grandsons Chase Daniel Callahan(3) and Avery Falcone Tucker (5 mos) and his former wife Michele Devine (Cannon).
Family and friends are invited to his funeral mass 10:30am Thursday at St. Pius Church, 220 Lawrence Rd., Broomall, Pa, 19008. Visitation Wednesday evening 7-9 at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015 and also Thursday 9-10:30am at the church. Burial private. In lieu of flowers donations to the Nardello Education Fund, c/o Franklin Mint Bank, 100 W. State St., Media, Pa, 19063.
