Judy Ann Hutchinson
After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Judy Ann Hutchinson ended her battle and headed home to the Lord on September 12th, 2018.
Judy was born on July 27th, 1957 in Woodbine Georgia to Thomas Hutchinson Sr. and Maudie Mae Hutchinson. She attended public schools in Camden County Georgia. After high school, Judy relocated to Utica New York where she was employed by General Electric for 15 years.
In 1996, Judy gave birth to her beloved son, Ronald Thomas Vann. She then relocated to the Delaware county area of Pennsylvania in the year of 2000, where she was employed by Cintas for 13 years. She also worked for KinderCare and Weatherly’s Daycare part time until her diagnosis.
Judy will forever be remembered for her sense of humor, love of family and friends, and her overall passion to put others before herself. She had a strong Christian faith and attended Grace Church of God in Christ under Pastor Gerald Weatherly Sr. and his wife Ethel Weatherly.
Her greatest passion throughout her life was her son Ronald, whom she raised as a single mother, and fought to survive long enough to see him graduate High School and College.
Along with the Lord, Judy will be heading home to her mother, Maudie Mae Hutchinson; her father, Thomas Hutchinson Sr.; and her 2 brothers, Thomas Hutchinson Jr. and Ronald Hutchinson.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Vann; her eldest sister, Delores Williams (Joe); her middle sister, Caroline Hendricks; a list of nieces, nephews, as well as many other family and friends.
Judy’s Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, at 10am located at Bateman-Allen Funeral Home; 4220 Edgmont Ave Brookhaven PA, 19015. Viewing 9-10 Saturday at the funeral home. Burial private.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Joanne and Kathy Anderson with Taylor Hospital Hospice Care for making Judy’s last few months as comfortable as possible.
