Lawrence “Jake” Cheety, Sr. October 10, 1931 - February 12, 2015

Lawrence “Jake” H. Cheety, Sr., 83, passed away peacefully February 12, 2015 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media, Pa. Born in Chester, Pa, he was a longtime resident of Delaware County before moving to Wilmington, De, 4 years ago. He worked for Penn Delco School District in the maintenance department for over 30 years before his retirement. Jake was predeceased by his wife Sarah (nee Malloy); his daughter Tina Veasey; and his parents Margaret and Louis.

He is survived by his children Lawrence Jr. (Joeann), Bobbi Lomas, and Robin Telepchik; his sister Ethel Dempsey; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral service Wednesday 12noon at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Wednesday 10am-12noon at the funeral home. Interment private.
