Lora L. Rines
Lora Rines, 62, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Born in Baltimore, MD, she spent most of her life in Media. She graduated from Penncrest High School, class of 1979 and went on to graduate from the Art Institute of Philadelphia and Delaware County Community College. Lora worked at High Meadow Gardens and was the office manager of Wallingford Community Arts Center; most recently she owned and operated Heaven Scent in Media.
She loved gardening, flowers, and traveling to the beach. She enjoyed playing cards, being surrounded by family and friends, having a glass of wine, dancing, watching the Phillies and weekly date night at Casa Mia. She always looked forward to family holiday parties and the annual family crab fest. She was extremely family oriented and adored her loved ones. Above all else, her greatest joy came from being a mom.
She is predeceased by her parents Rita June and Burton Larkin, Sr.; her brothers Burton, Jr. and Michael Larkin; and her grandchild Baby Tamayo.
Lora is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years Stan Rines, Jr.; her daughters Camila Segich (Andrew) and Saige Tamayo (Matt); her grandchildren Hayden, Nathan, Matthew, Callie, and Daisy June; her sisters Mary Vetter (Bill), Kimberly Armstrong (Jeff), Colleen Marie Larkin, and brother Timothy Larkin (Colleen); and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will take place Wednesday, August 14, 2024, 2pm, at the Christ Church, 311 S. Orange St., Media, PA, 19063 with a visitation starting at 12 noon.
