Mary E. Lightcap December 15, 1923 - February 19, 2016

Mary E. Lightcap, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep February 19, 2016 at Glen Mills Senior Living to join her beloved husband Bob and son Bobby in heaven. Mary was a resident of Brookhaven, Pa, for 63 years before moving to Glen Mills. She was a devoted wife of 69 years, a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a sports enthusiast, always following the Phillies and attending many of the games over the years with her sister. One of her favorite past times was watching and feeding the birds while she sat in the sun. She also loved to play bingo.

Born December 15, 1923 in Minersville, Pa she graduated from Cass Township High School in 1941. She retired from Ship and Shore after many years of employment. She was a member of the American Legion in Aston and also a member of the Upland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother Lottie Smith; her husband Bob; son Bobby Lightcap.

Mary is survived by her sister Jean Lohin; her nephew George Lohin; nieces Lynn Lohin Crowell, Maryann Fisher Wike, and Christy Lohin; and her many friends, especially all of her friends at Glen Mills Senior Living.

Funeral service Wednesday 12noon at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Wednesday 11am-12noon at the funeral home. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, Pa. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Upland Baptist Church, 325 Main St., Upland, Pa, 19015.
