Ruth Bush, 89, passed away February 8, 2009 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media, Pa.

Born in Glenolden, Pa, she has been a resident of Brookhaven, Pa, for the past 4 years.

She has been a life long Delaware County resident. She graduated from Bartrum High School. She was a clerk at Weight Watchers International. She was active in Senior Citizens Centers. She loved ball room dancing. She was also a Sunday School teacher at Mt. Hope in Aston, Pa. She was very proud of the fact that she was a matriarch of five generations. She was the wife of the late Harry Bush. She was the daughter of the late Naomi and John Gilmore. She was the father of Harry Bush, Middletown Twp., Pa, George Miles, Fenwick Island, De, Frank Bush, Middletown Twp., Pa, Joan Whitehead, Hollyoak, De,

Linda Hursh, Coatesville, Pa, and

the late Dorothy Billings and Kathy O’Connor. She was the sister of William Gilmore, Zenopal, Pa. She was survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Funeral service will take place Friday 1:30pm at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Friends may call Friday 12:30-1:30pm at the funeral home
