Stanley Chinkes
Stanley Chinkes, 83, passed away April 29, 2007 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Middletown, Pa. Born in New York, City, he was a previous resident of Brookhaven before moving to Fair Acres. He retired from the United States Army in 1963 after 20 years of service as a Major. He also worked for the Civil Service for 20 years at the Army Electronics Command in Philadelphia and Fort Monmouth, Monmouth, NJ. He also worked for the Defense Personel Support Center in S. Philadelphia. He loved music, art, and traveling. He was a United States Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was the husband of the late Mildred Cohen Chinkes. He was the father of Daveen Chinkes of Brookhaven, Pa, and Terri Ann Lynn Chinkes of Brookhaven, Pa. Funeral service will be held Wed. 9pm at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Friends may call Wed. evening 7-9 at the funeral home. Interment Thursday 11:30am at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Anville, Pa, 17003.
