Thomas Carpenter June 25, 1932 - January 15, 2007

Thomas Carpenter, 75, passed away January 15, 2007 at his home. Born in Brookhaven, Pa, he lived in Chester, Pa, and currently resided in Norwood for the last 28 years. He was a graduate of Nether Providence High School. He worked for Ed Eaton Automobile Service in Brookhaven, Pa, for 45 years and then worked for Brandywine Auto Parts for two years. He was an avid camper and loved to go fishing and hunting. He was also a bowler for the First Church of God bowling league. He was the son of the late Verge and Beulah Finks Carpenter and father of the late John Carpenter. He was survived by his former two wives; Carolyn Wright of Boothwyn, Pa, and Sarah Tesauro of Norwood, Pa. He was the father of Steven Carpenter of Lester, Pa, Kevin Carpenter of Glenolden, Pa, and Sallyann Carpenter of Norwood, Pa. He was the step-father of Catherine Woyurka of Morton, Pa, and Anne Marie Hancock of Crum Lynn, Pa. He was the brother of Edward Carpenter of Aston, Pa, and Christine Eaton of Aston, Pa. Grandfather of 10 and Greatgrandfather of 5. Funeral service will be held Saturday 11am at the First Church of God, 32 Radio Park Ln., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Friends may call Saturday 10am-11am at the church. Interment private. Donations can be made to Defenders of Wildlife, 1130 17th St. NW, Washington DC, 20036.
