Virginia M. Mills, 82, passed away December 5, 2014 at her home. Born in Mount Carmel, Pa, she was a long time resident of Wallingford, Pa, before moving to Ridley Park in 2008. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, class of 1949 and graduated from Chester Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She worked for Chester Hospital 1952-1957, Crozer Chester Medical Center 1959-1963, Mercy Convalescent Home (Director of Nurses) 1963-1970, Sacred Heart (Supervisor of the ER) 1971-1974, Ross Manor Nursing Home 1975-1977, Allied Chemical (which became General Chemical) in Occupational Health from 1977-1989 when she retired. She loved doing ceramics, knitting, going out to eat, and playing cards. She had a place in Cape May, NJ, which she really enjoyed. Above all else she loved being with her family and will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years Virgil J. Mills, Jr.; her parents Frank and Cecilia Jagloski; and her brother Francis “Scoop” Jaglowski.
She is survived by her children Joyce Mills-Raikowski, Mark S. Mills, Daniel K. Mills, and Karen Mills; 9 grandchildren.
Funeral mass Friday 10 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, Pa, 19022. Visitation Friday 8:30-9:30am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pa.
