William J. Greer June 27, 1928 - August 19, 2012

William J. Greer, 85, passed away August 19, 2012 at Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park, Pa. Born in Parkside, Pa, he was a long time resident of Brookhaven, Pa. He was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1947. He was a Post Man for the United States Post Office for 34 years before his retirement. He also worked for Strath Haven Condominiums for 7 years and Wells Fargo Security for 5 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0777, VFW Post 6349- Woodlyn, Pa, honorable member of the Parkside Fire House, an active member of Our Lady of Charity Church and the Charitians. He loved watching football and baseball games and really enjoyed to travel. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was predeceased by his parents Ceile and James Greer and his brothers John and Joseph Greer.
He was the beloved husband of Josephine Greer (nee Moretti) for 54 years and was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass Wednesday 10:30am at Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Wednesday 9:30-10:30am at the church. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pa, 19064. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of Charity Church.
