William J. Jackson Sr., 92,
passed away July 17, 2010 at his home in Wallingford, Pa, where he has resided for 55 years. Born in Philadelphia, Pa, he was raised and educated in Marcus Hook, Pa.
He was a flight instructor in the Navy and worked for the Sun Oil Refinery in the Instrument Department for 38 years.
He was an avid Phillies fan and a ham radio licensed operator. He enjoyed boating, fishing, pinochile, and coaching the Sun Oil baseball teams in Aston.
He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was the husband of the late Betty Jackson; The son of the late John and Clara Jackson; Brother of the late John Jr., George, Jerry, Robert, Walter Jackson, Betty Judy, and Grace Durbano.
Survivors: Son, William Joseph Jr.; Daughters, Cindy Seiden, Linda whom he lived with and who provided tireless loving care, and Betty; sister Rita Weber; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of 4 and great grandfather of 2.
Memorial service will be held Thursday 10 am at St. Johns Chrysostom, 615 South Providence Rd., Wallingford, Pa, 19086. Visitation will be held Thursday 9-10am at the church.
Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pa.
